Heard people saying they studied for 9 or 10 hours a day?
Started counting your own hours?
Stressed about how to increase your own study hours?
Well, read this article till the end.
Hey, book savvies!!
Today I am going to be discussing about study hours.
So, buckle up if you too are focused on our study hours.
Personally, I do not believe in no. of hours studied crap. Because if our
mind is not there half of the time, it is quite possible we have gained
nothing for that much amount of time.
Because let’s be frank, we have a lot of items distracting us. For example,
the device you are using to read this article.
Now, before you feel guilty, hear my opinion.
No. of hours doesn’t matter.
What matters is how much gets done.
How much gets done?
At the end of the day, we need to complete our syllabus before exams.
For that, we need a plan, a schedule.
Not an hour-by-hour schedule.
But a topic-by-topic schedule.
Let me give an example to understand.
Suppose 7 chapters are coming in an exam. You have one month to
prepare. Let’s prepare the schedule.
Give yourself one chapter per day. Completely understand the chapter,
clear all your doubts.
If one chapter is big and the other small, you complete the small chapter early and
squeeze a bit of the big chapter in it.
If you complete a chapter, let’s say, by the afternoon, then you don’t need to
study the rest of the day. (yay!!)
Now, if you follow this schedule, you will complete your syllabus in one
week.
Now, no need to study the same subject next week.
Yes, you are completely free from this subject next week!!
During the 3 rd week, though, your goal is to complete all the 7 chapters in
3 days this time.
Since you have studied it once already, it will be faster to do so again.
Whatever you don’t remember, you can revise it.
After 3 days, you are free for the rest of the week.
One week before exams, take one day, just one day, and flip through the
chapters, see if there is anything you can’t recognize and read it.
After that, just one day before exams, you can take even two days, to revise
the whole material.
Congratulations!!!
You are ready to break a leg!!!
So yeah, if you concentrate when studying, follow your schedule in
a disciplined manner, then you will have both, good marks and a lot of
time to enjoy as well.
Hope this was enlightening!!
