Quality Education

The vapid verbiage of our educational system

"Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all."

~ Aristotle

Every youngster in the world today knows the value of a good

education. The world's most populous country, India, is a developed

nation with the youngest people. However, we can assume that our

country suffers from a dearth of "quality education." In India,

low-quality education results in poor educational results. Multiple

cases abound to support this claim, some of which we think is pretty

breathtaking.

This theory's core feature, lack of interest, is the driving factor behind

it. Creativity has no place in the classroom, where pupils are expected

to stick to a rigid curriculum and are not allowed to pursue their

interests or desires.

Known as "examinations," this approach restricts the autonomy of this

nation's pupils to a degree. Exams are the yardstick for judging a

person's level of accomplishment in our nation. Life is very different

compared to these board exams, high school textbooks, and the

surprise tests of instructors. However, while these boards are dabbling

with the papers, they fail to realize that their students' futures are at

risk.

The stress that adolescents face throughout their school years is

tremendous. Much of "success" is about addressing unpredictable

obstacles ,not part of our exam tests.

We are tested on our abilities to pay attention in class and study

efficiently from our textbooks. Whereas such preparation will not get

someone very far in reality, it is not so much "what" you think as it is

"how" you think that will establish your success or failure in the current

world.

As a result, we place a premium on students who graduate from school

with "well-filled minds," while they genuinely need to succeed in the

world are "well-formed minds."

Now, append to it the societal weight exerted by parents. Numerous

parents have irrational aspirations and ambitions. They are persuaded

that destiny thwarted them, and their advent puts unwarranted

pressure on youngsters to pursue their goals.

Furthermore, when these children fail, it is not failure. They fail because

they were set up for failure. After all, they lacked the necessary

circumstances, primordial parameters, scholarly aptitude, or tendency

to do what their parents desired. The child's inability to comprehend

this concept causes him or her to descend into a bottomless pit of

depression and sorrow.

Albert Einstein summed it best, "Everyone is a genius. However, if you

judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing

that it is stupid."

Attending seminars, listening to lectures, and debating with colleagues

are all part of education! Moreover, what the incumbent administration

is missing is sufficient respect for this.

The nation should have an educational system that promotes

opportunities for more people to learn ensures that individuals from all

socioeconomic groups accept the structure and are given a chance to

study, and guarantees that students emerge with augmented knacks.

The educational system of our country needs to change. Perhaps,

“evolve” might be a better word.

Swami Vivekananda believed that “Education is the manifestation of

the perfection already in man”, therefore, a teacher's job is to remove

obstruction from the pupil's path ; not to create one.

On this thought, I, a mere student, bids you farewell.
