Mundane Afflictions

The Strenuous Paths Of The Successful

So, before I begin this piece, allow me to share a little anecdote with you.

Once upon a time, there was an exhibition in which numerous crabs from various nations were put in enclosed display cases designed to prevent the crabs from escaping, but only the box containing Indian crabs was opened from the top.

Consequently, a man there inquired of the representative why just one box was

opened while all others were sealed. The representative replied that these are the

Indian crabs. If one attempts to leave the box, others will begin tugging his leg, and

no one will be able to escape the case.

There is no need for me to tell you what the story's moral is since you've already grasped it. The dilemma now is whether humans obtained this cognition from the crabs or something else.

The argument is that if someone attempts to accomplish anything exceptional or

innovative in any manner, others will go to great lengths to disparage them, a practice

we refer to as “pulling on one's leg”.

The issue with this society is that they are unable to embrace anything that is unusual or extraordinary. Even I am baffled as to why this is happening. It might be a myriad of factors, notably resentment and vanity. When it comes to human nature, it doesn't matter what you label it; it's an intrinsic (bad) feature in the great majority of us.

Of course, there are some deviations to this trend.

However, it is also ubiquitous in this contemporary culture. People have become so adept at disparaging others that they no longer care about their own ethics, beliefs, or decency. The wicked world's dwellers have lost their morality, character, and self-esteem.

One of the most often cited motivations is to demonstrate supremacy over others. In order to acquire the adulation of their peers, some people demonstrate their superiority over others without regard for their victims' elation.

In the wake of seeing this face of humanity, my heart is broken. In some ways, it's hard to believe. . . To what purpose was I born into a world of unscrupulous and deceitful individuals? And the worst thing is that I'm emulating them. I'm mocking people, criticizing them, and indulging in long arguments with everyone.

The realisation that we humans can learn from our circumstances was a revelation to me. The individuals I've been around have changed me. And when I put a halt to this metamorphosis, I find myself in the position of the oppressed.

The world is an assemblage of paradoxes. Throughout your life, you can choose to be a part of the oppressor or to be the persecuted. The fact is that they are not going to change, and we must. We must evolve; not for the sake of civilisation, but for our own good.

The folks who want to have a constructive impression on the world aren't even trying! Because their first concern is, "What will everyone think?". This is the crux of the dilemma. Our reluctance to proclaim, "I don't care what everyone thinks," is reflected in our failure to put our words into action. One thing is losing, but another is failing to step

up to the challenge. Which is worse, dear reader?

I will not spend the remainder of my life as "the oppressed." My mother has always told

me that I am special, that I am one-of-a-kind. The oppressors will be proved erroneous by her son's phenomenal accolades.

I'm not going to be the crab and will get out of this case no matter what. These people, as well as the whole humanity, are powerless to stop me. Not even a single soul can prohibit you from doing good if you are among the virtuous.

For always remember, dear reader, these are the strenuous paths of the successful. . .
